Champagne Campaign

The following is a spec ad campaign for champagne.

It all started with the Champagne class and a wild Lorraine Hems sabering a bottle, asking us, “Why are we celebrating”? “Because it’s Thursday”! Don’t wait to enjoy champagne because you think it must be celebrated with something. Champagne, like any other wine, can be celebrated on its own.

The image captures champagne in a fun and elegant way. The warm yellow reminds you of a sunny day, warm, and comfortable. It also accents the rose gold of the bottle, like a rose-tinted memory. The sabered bottle, with peeled foiling, is how champagne should be thought of, not on the rack. An open bottle welcomes you to drink it. And foam is fun.

Champagne isn’t just for the rich and regal, but the cheap and common. We don’t need the dawn of a new age to drink it, we need the dawn. Because it’s Thursday.

The actual process of capturing the champagne was simple. Some yellow construction paper making a cheap psych wall, golden bounce board for the side lighting give the bottle dimension. And capturing the feeling of sabering with the foam was achieved by a spoonful of sugar.

Honestly, one of my favorite projects I’ve created. Really happy with how these came out. Gonna have to make some prints for myself, friends, and Lorraine.
